My ancestry is Native American my grandmother was a full blooded Cherokee. It’s from her and my mother that I first learned a deep love of our earth. I’m a Christian, my grandmother was not, she worship as her mother had and her mother before that. She gave thanks for all the earth gave her and never took more than she needed to feed or cloth herself and us grand kids, which she often had to do. I don’t find Christianity any different in regards to our steward ship of this planet.
It’s just dumb not to drill for our own oil. Of course we should be, and should have been, developing cleaner, safer more efficient forms of energy. The fact of the matter is; right now the cleanest, safest most efficient form of energy available in mass supply is oil. We have enough of our own, with major advancements in technology to retrieve it, to certainly offset present very high gas prices. Forty years ago when radical environmentalist convinced this country that we would destroy our planet by drilling for oil and building refineries predates decades of advancements in equipment used and process available for retrieving our own resources. We can get our stuff more efficiently and without any damage to our environment. We can respect and care for our planet while giving thanks for what she gives us for sustenance.
The continued argument not to do so is not a question of conservation, it’s a political issue. There is a very powerful and well funded radical group of people in this country and around the world who are dedicated to the destruction of the United States of American in particular and worldwide freedom in general. The ultimate goal is a one world government established as the savior of mankind. The United Nation is experiencing an increase in world influence based on support of its manufactured issue of manmade global warming. Even though the UN refuses to react to very real international need stemming from massive human suffering, it does feel compelled to send officials to investigate racism in America during the historic election cycle of 2008. It seems a strange time for the UN to actively insert itself in American politics.
Gas prices are never coming down; we have waited too long and been tragically inactive for decades. No president will be able to do anything positive to lower prices with the extreme exception of taking control of all foreign and domestic oil companies and rationing gas. This is exactly what the left and Senator Obama intends to do. It has been the political plan for years, oil being by far the highest profit industry in the world. President Obama and the democratic dominated Congress will seize control of all energy resources and introduce rationing the sale and consumption of gas. This of course will bring down the gallon price of gas and moved our government ever closer to absolute control.
President Obama will keep his historic promise of change. He will peacefully usher in the exact change our fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers fought and died to avoid. He will bring equal measures of life and misery to all citizens; he will provide equal success, consumption and despair. Only our rulers and their descendants will dream of prosperity and accomplishment. Our children and grandchildren will not remember freedom, potential and individual rights; thus they will forgive us all that we have bequeathed them. This is indeed the most historic election in our relatively brief existence as a country. For the very first time our nation has nominated a devout and acknowledged socialist/Marxists as the nominee of the Democratic party for the Presidency of the United States of America. We move forward with our eyes wide open and our hearts giving up on capitalism, democracy and freedom. Gas prices are just the beginning of our future of change in America.
